Meet Dave Stowe

Dave is the founder and managing partner of Adventus – a boutique consulting firm assisting clients in the development of procurement, finance and supply management operations. He supports clients experiencing rapid changes to their supply base and spending as a result of new product launches and M&A transactions.


Clients appreciate his ability to find common ground across functions and suppliers needed to successfully execute on objectives and meet business goals.


Prior to founding Adventus, he worked at PwC and Oliver Wyman in several consulting capacities for clients with diverse ownership structures from publicly held to private equity ownership. In addition to his consulting work, he led procurement functions at Horizon Therapeutics and Purdue Pharma.


Dave earned his MBA and a MS Industrial Engineering from the University of Michigan and a BS Industrial Management from Purdue University.

  • Developed and launched procurement department for a midsized pharmaceutical company to efficiently purchase services and goods. Defined the Source-to-Pay (S2P) process and operating model necessary to support company’s continued growth. Developed business case and secured support of CFO, CEO and Executive Committee members to launch department.
  • Conducted Request-for-Proposal (RFP) for Source-to-Pay software solution for a global oil and gas client. Worked with cross-functional groups from procurement, legal, finance and IT to define requirements, conduct demonstrations, solicit input from stakeholders and solution providers. Supported evaluation of 3 software providers, developing analysis, socializing program, soliciting best and final offers and securing CFO and executive approval for contract signature.
  • Implemented corporate-wide supplier cost reduction strategy for medical diagnostic manufacturer acquired by a private equity firm. Generated run rate savings of 4-10% across direct and indirect categories to meet aggressive run rate and EBITDA savings goals.
  • Supported Enterprise Risk Management Committee (ERMC) development for midsized pharmaceutical company; identified supply risks with potential to materially impact financial, compliance, operational and strategy goals; developed and prioritized solutions with ERMC to present to Executive Committee and Board of Directors.
  • Executed sourcing and category management strategy to drive 7.7% in annual savings for $3B industrial products client. Deployed category management process for logistics, MRO and service categories. Supported monthly Executive Steering Committee meetings with framework to align cost reduction and supplier management processes.
