Digital Procurement

Human Machine Interface

To fully appreciate the benefit of digital tools, humans must be at the center of technology using tools to enhance and improve the value of their work.  A focus on technology over the worker creates inefficiencies, wasted time and burnout.

At Adventus, we work with procurement, operations, product development, finance and IT teams to understand how technology can improve the procurement operating model. Moving from e-mail, spreadsheets and SharePoint sites to digital procurement tools requires simple but insightful analysis of responsibilities, processes and system features.  We support the implementation of technology tools from single applications for spend analysis, intake orchestration and contract management to integrated source-to-pay platforms like Coupa, SAP/Ariba, GEP, JAGGAER and Zycus.

Building a Digital Procurement Roadmap

Understanding technology’s ability to enhance collaboration is the essential component of a digital procurement roadmap. Digital tools need to provide data and insightful analysis to team members who need to purchase, pay, manage suppliers and address compliance requirements.

Digital roadmaps help answer questions such as:

  1. How should technology be used to develop a collaborative ecosystem re-imagining supplier relationship to address vital business needs?
  2. How can technology be used to create value with suppliers through improved products and offerings addressing customer needs, regulatory issues and sustainability goals?
  3. What technology changes are needed to help improve the buying experience for the employee and company?
  4. How should employees and suppliers learn to use technology to be more efficient?
  5. How will people be at the center of using digital tools?
